Chilgab in Chungcheong province. It is three o'clock in the afternoon on January 17 of 2005. The mountains circles the town of Min-Sik like a folding screen so sky looks very small and Sun has already been at the part of mountain although the time has just passed noon. Min-Sik stays without any moving at humble room of the house at the part of Mt. Chilgab where is well-known as the wildest place of Chungnam province. He wants to run the beautiful field that he sees but he can not because his body doesn't allow him to move. His disease is muscular dystrophy whose name is not familiar. He has even worst one. The disease usually starts at 4 years old and it gets rid of a person's muscle gradually so the person who gets this appalling disease dies within 20 years old. There is no cure for this disease in the all over the world.  Although young, 18 years old poet who appeared in the world with his first collection of poems which sang beautiful life with pure, clean spirit became 23 years old youth after passing 5 years old, people can not see him as his body becomes thinner. Min-Sik always smiles although he has just bone and skin like African refugee who did not eat enough food. A poem is everything to Min-Sik. He has written poems continuously since 10 years old staying at a room due to his disease. The  disease so horrible that he can not move any finger as the disease takes any muscle of his. Although his mind is the one of 23 years old, he has less energy than that of baby. He can not even pick up the phone although the phone rings which is in front of him. The outside of the gate is unknown world such as foreign country to Min-Sik whose muscle disappears more and more unlike similar youth whose height is higher and whose weight is heavier as they grow.

Many people come to his home in order for them to meet Min-Sik from all over the country although he can not move just one step. Bae, Dae-Jin Chonjang of Hwalinchon who cultivates autochthonous cactus, mysterious Taesam that is endangered is one of the people. Bae Chonjang is the health specialist who cultivates mass Taesam in the farm of 400 acre that is located in Asan of Chunan and he has devoted to cure Min-Sik's disease. He is the very thoughtful person who visits several times in a month to Min-Sik's home in order for him to takes food to Min-Sik's mouth during 8 years. The other person is Lim, Jae-Soon, the head of Chungsan Hyundae hospital. He has come to cure Min-Sik's disease for 5 years. He always comes to check Min-Sik's health 2-3 times in a month although he is so busy that his patients always wait for his medical examination due to his excellent abilities for examination. Kim, Sang-Kyum(30 years old) whose hometown  is Bulter that is not far from Min-Sik's home and who has a job in Daejeon is  the person who also loves Min-Sik much. Whenever he met Min-Sik who went to school or come back home on the road, he gave a ride a lot by a motorcycle after he lifted Min-Sik in his two arms. Now that story became just sweet memories. Whenever he had enough time, he came to see Min-Sik with a lot of food. As soon as he finished army service, he came to see Min-Sik with Pizza. Although he could buy Pizza in Jungsan, he had been to Gongju to have Min-Sik eat Pizza which was just baked because he thought the taste of Pizza baked in Jungsan was not good. The other person who loves Min-Sik much is a grandmother(83 years old) who lives the mid-slope of Mt. Chilgab where is 2 km apart from Min-Sik's home. She comes to see Min-Sik several times in a day with food which her grown son and daughter who lives another cities gives for her not having the food by herself. Also Jang-Jun(33 years old) is one of the person who loves Min-Sik too. He will not be happy if someone says he is the second person who loves Min-Sik. Jang-Jun who runs the store, "Children Store" that sells children clothes has come to play with Min-Sik several times for one years for 5 years.

He who was sincere Christian prayed sincerely that he could donate one thousand dollars in a month as tenth to help difficult and poor people when he opened the store. Whether God helped him as he prayed sincerely, although about 10 stores that sold children clothes were closed due to bad economic situation, the customers of the store that he who has sincere character runs  has increased and he earns a lot of money as much as he can donate one thousand dollars in a month as tenth. Jun who Min-Sik likes much came to see him first when Jun was a university student. After he saw Min-Sik on TV, although he tried to see Min-Sik, he could not meet Min-Sik because he was sick on the way to see Min-Sik. Finally he could meet Min-Sik with second trial. After that, Jang-Jun opened the store, got married, and he has come to Min-Sik's house of Mt. Chilgab which is far from Seoul continuously. It was not long ago that Jang-Jun came to see Min-Sik with his wife and a baby introducing them to Min-Sik and Min-Sik's grandmother. As soon as Jun visits Min-Sik's house, he lifts Min-Sik in his arms and washes Min-Sik' body in the bathroom and gives some delicious food to Min-Sik. Min-Sik's story has been on the air many times. People like a beautiful angel gives a lot of donation. Although it is not big money such as 10, 20, 50, 100 dollars, it's value is priceless. There was a little bit old lady who cried a lot saying she could not send any money anymore due to her severe financial situation after she sent money for several years as an  unregistered deposit. Min-Sik is very close to Choi, Min-Hong(23 years old) who has same disease as Min-Sik's lives in Gongju as Min-Sik calls him almost every day. Min-Sik is one year older than him.  Bok, Kwon-Seung who is a president of a computer shop in Chungyang also a trustworthy supporter for Min-Sik. He donated a computer, installed it and repairs it when is out of order because the computer is the only communication channel to outside world for Min-Sik who can not move any step. Bok, Kwon-Seung donated a computer and video set and whenever he gets phone that the computer is out of order, he comes to repair in a moment it even if it is midnight.

<div style="font-size:14px;">Bae, Dae-Jin Chonjang saw Min-Sik on TV accidently and the program was almost finished. As soon as Bae Chonjang saw Min-Sik on TV, The thought that he had to find Min-Sik hit his head suddenly. Although he tried to find Min-Sik without any plan after he just saw the end part of TV program, he could not find at the first day. Later, he did all kind of way he could to meet Min-Sik and he finally met Min-Sik dramatically. Bae Chonjang gave white snake, mountain ginseng, a herb of eternal youth that were priceless to Min-Sik with a blender for drinking Taesam cactus without any condition. Moreover, he took Min-Sik, Min-Sik's grandfather and grandmother to his home to show here and there for Min-Sik carrying in his arms and picking up Min-Sik on his back. Also, Min-Sik could sleep in the first grade hotel due to his thoughtful nurturance.  The people who work at the office of Jangpyung-meon of Chungyang-gun has helped Min-Sik a lot. They come Min-Sik's house to wash Min-Sik's body carrying all kind of equipment by a car. Min-Sik can not forget a elder sister, Kwon, Sun-Hee who Min-Sik met at House of Hope in 1994. Sun-Hee, a freshman of university was working at the House of Hope as a volunteer when Min-Sik visited the House of Hope as if it was predestined. One day, Kwon, Sun-Hee asked poems which were written by Min-Sik and letters that he received and she took them. Later she brought them back after she coated them beautifully so that Min-Sik could keep them for a long time. Min-Sik was very happy when Sun-Hee gave a bunch of flowers on Children's day. Chief of House of Hope told Min-Sik's father that if Min-Sik lived at the House of Hope with other children who got similar disease to Min-Sik's, it could help Min-Sik cure his disease and it would be better than Min-Sik stayed at home alone. It was remembered as Min-Sik was 15 years old. Min-Sik's father decided to take Min-Sik to the House of Hope as he hoped that Min-Sik's health became better. Min-Sik's father left home with Min-Sik after he washed Min-Sik's body and changed Min-Sik's clothes with a new clothes. However, he hesitated so much wondering Min-Sik who had not lived without leaving at home could live there without any problems. Anyway, Min-Sik's father came back home from the House of Hope hoping Min-Sik's health could be better if Min-Sik lived with children who had similar situation, but a great disturbance was happened at home. Min-Sik's only younger brother, Hyung-Sik was shouting, rolling in the room asking to take his brother back. Min-Sik's father with a heavy heart went to Gongju at the first break of day and took Min-Sik back home as Min-Sik's younger brother who was 13 years old looked for his elder brother crying and screaming without eating any food. When Min-Sik wanted to go outside, he picked up Min-Sik and went here and there as Min-Sik's legs.  Picking up Min-Sik to take outside, The feeling of Hyung-Sik to his elder brother would probably be increased. The person who takes care of Min-Sik instead of his mother who went out home 5 years ago and has not connected with is Min-Sik's grandmother who is 79 years old. The grandmother who takes charge of a household although she can't move freely due to arthritis and backache washes Min-Sik's face, gives food to Min-Sik, and takes care of his urine and feces. The old patient who is 79 years old takes care of her grandson who is 23 years old although that kind of work ruins her health. Min-Sik who travels all over the world through internet staying in a small room writes poem that he likes today. Min-Sik doesn't pay attention to death and disease. He writes poem and tries a new thing instead of that kind of useless thought. Min-Sik tried to write music that he never attempted. Seo, Soo-Taek who is called Seoul president often comes to see Min-Sik and gives a lot of money to him. Also, Bae, Gwang-Soo Seoul president visits Min-Sik's home several times in a year and donates some money like 500 or 1,000 dollars. Bae, Gwang-Woo prepared special clothes for Min-Sik who could not wear clothes freely due to his very thin, wrenched body like fish bone. One day Bae gave 500 dollars to Min-Sik's father after he saw the eyes of Min-Sik's father saying that the eyes were red and you should see a doctor. Why do those people return back their houses with a big smile after giving a lot of money for Min-Sik although they don't have any relationship with him in the severe world that everybody wants to have more money? Min-Sik is very close to Min-Hong who has similar disease with Min-Sik's as Min-Sik says Min-Hong is the most valuable person in the world. In some point of view, the relationship between Min-Sik and Min-Hong is more than that of real brother. Min-Sik and Min-Hong met on July of 1997 for the first time and have learned how to live to pay attention to each other. The one year elder brother, Min-Sik composed music for Min-Hong who had similar name and disease. We wish our body becomes healthy like the usual person. We wish we can walk on the street by ourselves. Min-Sik and Min-Hong prayed, pray, and will pray for each other until they die. Min-Sik blushes his face when Hyo-Sim, an elder sister who Min-Sik likes comes. Although he tried to hide his shyness with smiles, he feels embarrassed. The limited life that a person has to count date backward as one expects the date he will die. Although Min-Sik smiles brightly, he knows his life will finish soon. Min-Sik thinks the time that he spent to write poems is very valuable. One day, Min-Sik went for a walk after staying at House of Hope in Gongju. Min-Sik and Min-Hong got their photograph taken smiling and being happy in a wheelchair that volunteers pushed. Min-Sik and Min-Hong wearing black sunglasses and yellow and blue wigs got their photograph taken to show their strong friendship. Their funny __EXPRESSION__ on photograph makes people laugh. Min-Sik and Min-Hong decided to put the day's memories in their heart forever hanging good photography to chest of their friend. Min-Sik's father is a laborer to get 40 dollars for a day. Although the money he can earn is small amount, he worries about that he is out of work. However, his biggest worry is his son. The fact that his son will die soon rives his heart. Min-Sik who can not move his body by himself puts everything that he can see in his mind. He has a lot of beautiful memories in the past time in his head like a photographic album. The mind of Min-Sik turns back to the past time inverting  time. Lee, Hyo-Sim, a university student who gives chocolate looks like a angel to Min-Sik. The scene that Hyo-Sim takes the chocolate to Min-Sik's mouth after she eats small part of the chocolate saying the chocolate is her favorite is affectionate. The elder sister, Hyo-Sim took Min-Sik on a wheelchair and went out. Hyo-Sim who pushed the wheelchair along the narrow path leaded ramblingly to a mountain. The face of Min-Sik became bright. That day the sister said many things. She took out her thought that she put in her heart. Her saying that she could not see Min-Sik for sometime due to her study in China made Min-Sik depressed although Min-Sik smiled. Min-Sik will remember the day that he took a walk riding a wheelchair she pushed. She is just one year older than Min-Sik. She doesn't have any younger brother. So she probably took care of him warmheartedly that called her "sister" like her own younger brother. A angel, Hyo-Sim who Min-Sik liked left. He worried that she might leave forever. Hyo-Sim seemed to know his troubled mind and sent a letter. Min-Sik sent a reply letter with a postscript that he liked her. The TV talent, Lee, Sang-Hoon visited Min-Sik once. Sang-Hoon came to Midang elementary school pushing a wheelchair for the program of broadcast in 1998. Min-Sik was full of deep emotion as he came back to school after the lapse of seven years. Boys were practicing Taekwondo for field day held in fall. A famous master of ceremonies on TV, Kim, Young-Man came to see Min-Sik for taking a photograph of a program, "Let's praise" with staves. He recommended Min-Sik after he got courage and energy through Min-Sik's writings. Min-Sik has written almost 1,000 poems and 100 poems among them were published as two books, "Life is beautiful and happy as much as one lives", "Be happy and beautiful until one dies" The collection of poems was popular as much as it became a bestseller in Kyobo and Jongno book store. A lot of letters were sent to Min-Sik after he published two collections of poems and was appeared on TV. A Korean resident abroad sent mountain ginseng wishing his speed recovery.  Min-Sik who were ardent fan of Pinkle that was a rock group consisted of girls received their voice message and photographs that they signed. Sometimes, Min-Sik becomes sentimental seeing Pinkle's photographs and video that has their voices to hope Min-Sik's speedy recovery. Min-Sik who can not move gives courage and energy for people through poems that he loves. Chul-Hee(a false name) has had good relationship with Min-Sik through a letter. Chul-Hee who was elder than Min-Sik read Min-Sik's poems during his prison service. He felt shame that he was in prison although he had healthy body knowing the fact that Min-Sik who gave courage to other people although he was dying. Chul-Hee wrote a letter to Min-Sik. The contents of the letter was that he wanted to express his gratitude as he felt that Min-Sik was truly healthy person although Min-Sik can not move freely and Min-Sik taught good lesson to his life. Chul-Hee has sent many letters and his attitude to world has changed since he knew Min-Sik first. Min-Hong who Min-Sik liked most came to see Min-Sik. Min-Hong has not walked since he was fourth grade in elementary school. Min-Hong who did not like to fall down in front of his friends and not to walk in front of his mother lives in a room like Min-Sik. Min-Sik and Min-Hong met each other accidently during travelling Jeju island sponsored by House of Hope on July of 1997. Min-Sik's seat was next to Min-Hong's in the airplane which took them to home from summer camp held by House of Hope in Jeju island and naturally they became friend  Park, Jong-Ho(26 years old) who lives in Seoul often comes to see Min-Sik. Jong-Ho who graduated the department of photography at Kyungmin college takes a photography well. Jong-Ho is a junior of Jang-jun who Min-Sik likes. They graduated same major and college. Min-Sik can not forget Jang, Bo-Seok who lives in Busan and is elder than Min-Sik. Bo-Seok came to see Min-Sik without previous notice. Though she tried to find Min-Sik's address and telephone number, it was not easy for her at first. Finally she could get Min-Sik's telephone number through a newspaper, a broadcasting program, a collection of poems connected by Min-Sik and could meet Min-Sik. She is the only daughter of a minister who lives in Busan and she has three elder brothers. Her father called her name  Bo-Seok(Korean letter of jewel) because he was very happy as he got a daughter after he already had three sons. Bo-Seok is very pretty like shining diamond and her mind is also very good. It probably comes from that she is a daughter of a minister. Bo-Seok appeared in front of Min-Sik through difficult process. Min-Sik wanted to express his appreciation to her after he heard that she walked a long distance of 7 km that Min-Sik walked to go to school. She prepared a present such as a box of diskette and cookies as she was a Santa claus for Min-Sik who writes a poem with a computer. She bought them with valuable 70 dollars that her mother gave her saying to use the money for Min-Sik importantly when she left home. Bo-Seok stayed at Min-Sik's home for one night talking many things with Min-Sik all night long. Min-Sik's grandmother smiled after a long interval seeing them. Bo-Seok walked along the road again next day to go back home. Though Min-Sik's grandfather offered to take her at a bus stop by a motorcycle, she didn't want to give any difficulties to Min-Sik's grandfather and left alone. She just wanted to walk with Min-Sik along the road talking together as Min-Sik recovered completely. Bo-Seok sent a beautiful fan by quick delivery service after several months they met. The fan made by bamboo was not usual fan. That fan which a famous artist wrote a poem and painted a picture was a work of art itself. Bo-Seok sent the fan whose price was about four thousand dollars with a lovely letter. Min-Sik was impelled by a strong sense of gratitude after he read the letter that her lover bought it specially for Min-Sik. Bo-Seok wrote that although she wanted to see Min-Sik immediately, she didn't have enough time to do that so she sent the fan instead of coming to Min-Sik. The fan was not a fan which people used when weather was hot and she asked Min-Sik to keep it after setting it in a frame. Bo-Seok called Min-Sik after some time passed.  She said that she was so busy that she could not go to see Min-Sik as she married the man who bought the fan and had a daughter. When Min-Sik heard the voice of Bo-Seok who had an unsatisfied feeling, his heart was filled with emotion although he felt a sense of loss as he didn't know when he could see her again. Bo-Seok comforted Min-Sik, her father, a minister prayed for Min-Sik, her mother gave 70 dollars for her to prepare a gift for Min-Sik, her husband bought the fan which was about four thousand dollars. We can not find such a lovely story in our world that becomes heartless and merciless more and more. How lovely this is! The pure love of this family who doesn't mix any blood is very warm as much as it melts the winter's piercing cold that is colder than ice. Min-Sik has been lived day by day taking many people's love. Min-Sik likes the poems of Ryu, Si-Hwa, Lee, Hae-In, Yun, Dong-Ju. He especially likes "the love of one-eyes fish" by Ryu, Si-Hwa and "Friend" by Lee, Hae-In who is a nun, "Seo-Si" by Yun, Dong-Ju among them. Although he likes every song, he enjoys songs of CCM admiration. He has also an elder and close brother who he met through internet. An, Hee-Chang who bought avatar character, sound card, graphic card, and RAM to give to Min-Sik communicates with Min-Sik through internet channel and often calls Min-Sik. Min-Sik's sister, Hyo-Sim is studying in China. He will see her again on April of this year as she said she would be back after she studied for 3 years. However, two months is needed to be April that the sister will come back. Min-Sik likes her as much as he is already waiting for the sister. Min-Sik met Hyo-Sim at House of Hope who worked as a volunteer  to sell  beverages there. Then, Min-Sik was 19 years old and Hyo-Sim was 20 years old as a freshman of university. Now, Min-Sik can not write anything as he doesn't have any power to write. It is sad for him that he can not send a reply letter although he receives a letter from her. Min-Sik participated in twelfth National  Comprehensive Art Festival for the disabled which was held on May, 16 of 1999 as a representative of Chungyang-gun and he received a prize. He could go sightseeing to Seoul as he won a prize from National  Comprehensive Art Festival for the disabled which was held by Korea association of Persons with Physical Disability and supported by Ministry of Culture & Tourism, Ministry of Health & Welfare, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Education, KBS, and 5 Economic Group with a chairman of Chungyang-gun association of the disabled. When the staves of "Let's praise" of MBC broadcasting came to see Min-Sik, an interesting thing was happened as a episode. All of staves had to carry their equipments, gifts, etc with their hands to Min-Sik's house because the width of bridge that was built in front of a village hall. Min-Sik likes all of the new songs. Although he likes the song of 'Sinhwa', 'Dongbangsingi', 'Sugar', 'Kim, Jong-Kuk', 'Kim, Beom-Soo', 'Boa', 'Lim, Jae-Beom', 'Park, Hyo-Sin', he likes ballad singers more than dance singers. Recently, he enjoys the songs of CCM much and among them he especially loves the title of 'the person who was born to be loved'. Min-Sik who has lived hearing many times that he dies within 20 years old since he was 11 years old. However, he became 23 years old over 20 years old. The devoted love of people who doesn't mix any blood has extended Min-Sik's life. It seems that love has cured a mortal illness. Min-Sik who is dying gives hope and energy to people through his poems and people return vigor to Min-Sik. World becomes warmer through the relationship between people and Min-Sik. Min-Sik makes sure in mind today that he will live happily and beautifully until he dies. Min-Sik smiles brightly like shining sunbeam.
